If you have not signed up for an account yet, you can learn how to sign up here. If you know that you have signed up, then please check to see if you mistyped your user ID.

When I put in my account and password, why does it say that my password is incorrect?
Passwords are case sensitive. Check to make sure your "Caps lock" key isn't on. If you still have problems with your password you can learn how to retrieve your password here.

After I Log-In, the portal forgets who I am, how come?
The portal makes use of session cookies to remember you. If you have disabled or restricted cookies, then the portal will immediately forget who you are. You must enable session cookies to make use of the Log-In feature of the portal. If you do not log onto the portal, you will not receive any cookies. Instructions for cookie settings of Internet Explorer 6 can be found here.

The session cookie is saved in your computer memory, not on your hard drive. When you close your browser, the portal logs you out. The cookie will expire after 20 minutes of inactivity.

If you attempt to Log-In from the My DPSS page and one of the modules generates an error, your session cookie will not be set and the portal will forget who you are. If this happens, attempt logging on from the Log-In page.

If your are outside the Los Angeles County Intranet and behind a proxy server or firewall your cookies may be blocked. You will not be able to Log-In.
